Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

We want to hear from you. Please take one minute to answer a few questions in our brief survey.

We invite you to share these messages of thanks from Verizon employees with your fellow wildland firefighters or any associations, clubs, groups, or teams who you believe would appreciate seeing them.

I love free space and the nation's forests. I feel that if forests keep getting depleted, it will be extremely bad for our environment. Loss of wildlife, climate change, and increased pollution will be at the forefront. Supporting the US Forest service is the least I can do to show my gratitude for this cause. Thank you again.

Without you the US would not be as beautiful as it is. I enjoy driving across the country and getting to see all the natural splendor around me

Hi there, I want to thank everyone who plays a part in keeping our National Forest clean and safe for all to visit. It's because of you that our future generations can enjoy all the wonder of nature they provide. It's a place where you can go and relax, hike, find peace, and enjoy time outside with family and friends.
Thank you

A single tree planted on a National Forest can store a half ton of carbon dioxide over its lifetime, helping mitigate climate change.

Hello, National Forest Foundation (NFF) Staff. You rock! Thank you so much for your service. It is greatly appreciated! Together Everyone Achieves More! Having you do your part in helping to keep the forest and the species that live their healthy and alive is a big deal! I haven't been to a forest since I was a child, so I am looking to visit soon.

Thank you for all you do. It is wonderful all you do to keep the forest alive. I enjoy the forest we have here in Oklahoma. I am a tree hugger myself. Keep up the good work!

I recently learned that the Florida Wildlife Conservation employs Wildlife Biologists to research our native wildlife. I was so excited to learn this and am eternally grateful to their hard work, dedication and drive to educate the general public on how to co-exist with wildlife. Thank You!
