Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

We invite you to share these messages of thanks from Verizon employees with your fellow wildland firefighters or any associations, clubs, groups, or teams who you believe would appreciate seeing them.

Hello Friend! Thank you for all that you do for the US Forest Service. My family had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Tongass National Forest last month; it is a memory that will stay with us for many years. Its beauty has inspired a desire to see more National Forests in the coming years. May you continue your work in the best of health!

I have been hiking the Appalachia trail my whole life. Just wanted to say thank you for keeping it pristine in the state of WVA. I wish you all could get PA classified in the same manor but the state also does a good job preserving the forest and its inhabitants. Thank you for all you do.

Trees hold and purify water and stabilize soils, helping creeks and rivers run clear for the thousands of communities who depend on National Forests for clean water.

Thank you to all the Forest Service employees in the field, law enforcement, biologists, office staff, and so many positions that I do not know about! Your work is beneficial to us all! Especially to me because I enjoy the forests themselves first hand and also benefit from the improvements that a healthy forest has on the world.

Dear Admin Staff,

Thank you with all my heart. You probably don't receive enough gratitude being in the administration office. As most admins are overlooked. I know how difficult it is keep track of everything and everybody. Without your work of keeping everything organized we wouldn't be able to keep our parks as great as they are. THX Bill

I love free space and the nation's forests. I feel that if forests keep getting depleted, it will be extremely bad for our environment. Loss of wildlife, climate change, and increased pollution will be at the forefront. Supporting the US Forest service is the least I can do to show my gratitude for this cause. Thank you again.

Thank you for all that you do to keep our National Forests protected and running each year. One of my families favorite things to do is go camping. We very much love being in nature, hiking, and exploring new areas. I now have added several other National Forests to our next adventures. Thank you again!
