Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

We invite you to share these messages of thanks from Verizon employees with your fellow wildland firefighters or any associations, clubs, groups, or teams who you believe would appreciate seeing them.

National Forests provide habitat for more than 3,000 animals, including more than 400 federally listed threatened and endangered species.

To all the US NFF personnel that keeps the forest land in the US reforestation projects ongoing! Your efforts are testament of ensuring healthy forests for generations to come. 5M trees 5lanted in 2023 mark is outstanding. If you can plant another 5M trees in 2024, it will make it possible for my grandchildren to enjoy the forest in the future. TY
