Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank you so much for taking care of the forests that my family loves to visit! We enjoy hiking, biking, kayaking, and animal watching. Without people lik eyou, we would not be able to enjoy and appreciate all of these activities. Keep up the great work!

National Forests are the largest single source of fresh water in the US, providing drinking water to millions, including those in large cities.

Trees are called the 'green lungs of the earth". What each and everyone that works for 'US Forest Service' do ...literally keeps us breathing!

Thank you for doing what those of us cannot!

As a resident of the LA metro, it's great to have several National Forest areas within close proximity. The forset is a great escape to escape the chaos of the city, unwind, clear my mind, and stay physically fit. Thank you for all that you do to protect and preserve these areas.
