Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank you for tirelessly maintaining the unruly bunch of trees that have no sense of self preservation. I found it interesting all of the various techniques used to minimize forest fires that are beyond my imagination. Cheers!

National Forests provide habitat for more than 3,000 animals, including more than 400 federally listed threatened and endangered species.

I am very glad we had the session with the NFF. It made me realize the magnitude of the National Forests footprint. It goes very well beyond vacation spots - it's key for wildlife preservation, water resources, etc.. So I'd like to extend my personal gratitude for everything you do and sacrifice to preserve this national treasure. Thank you!!

Forest Firefighters, There is not enough space with the 350 character limit to express my gratitude for what you deal with. You're job is so difficult and I wanted you all to know how appreciated you are. We would not have what we currently have without your dedication to your job. Its dangerous work and you deserve a standing ovation. Thx Bill

Earlier today, I had the pleasure of participating in an NFF informational webinar to honor National Forrest Week and, wow, did I learn a lot! Thank you for all that you do to support our national lands. They are critical to the environment and us as a species, not to the mention all of the other kingdoms that rely on you. I appreciate you!

Thank you for all your efforts: they really show the macro and micro view about how one person, one team and one organization can make lasting impacts across the country. Whether you're building out habitats to support a population for a single species, or you're reforesting to provide long term impacts, your work is valuable and appreciated!
