Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

By planting the right species in the right places, reforestation improves forest health and helps make our forests more resilient to future challenges like climate change and wildfire.

Thank you for all your hard work fighting fires on the front line. Your sacrifice away from home is very much appreciated.

Thanks for all your efforts to keep the local communities safe. Living in so cal we regularly see the super scoopers overhead and know you are in for another long day.

When hiking through a burn patch we know you worked hard to protect the environment.

Truly appreciated
