Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Dear National Forest Foundation,

Thank you so much for what you do by maintaining our forests and green areas. I enjoy visiting the parks around me to hike, unwind or just ground myself. Without your time or dedication, moments like that would not be possible. Thank you!

Thank you for the work you do to protect the very best this country has to offer. As many, I find solace in nature, and worry consistently when it's harder and harder to find. Your work is often thankless, but please know I'm so grateful!

Thank you for supporting upkeep of our forests and keeping us all safe. Without your tireless efforts we would not have the beautiful forests we have in our country. I'm sure you may feel like no one cares some days but there are those of us that do and really appreciate your efforts. You do make a difference, thanks so much!

The National Forest Foundation partners with the U.S. Forest Service to plant native species for habitat restoration and in areas impacted by wildfire, insects and disease outbreaks and other natural disturbances.

As a kid we took a road trip out west and visited so many of the national parks around the Grand Canyon. And we had the most amazing people help us from the park services to learn so many awesome things about the rocks, land, animals, and habitats. That would not have been the experience it was with out you all.

There is nothing more I love than to be outdoors since I am stuck inside all day for work, I can not wait until my family is old enough to go on hikes with me so I can respect and enjoy weather and nature

A single tree planted on a National Forest can store a half ton of carbon dioxide over its lifetime, helping mitigate climate change.

Thank you so much for all the work you do to preserve our national treasures. Without you these forests would not be what they are today.

Thank you for all you do!!!

Thank you for all you do to save and protect our forestry. The things I have learned over the years about how to care for our forest and what not to do is amazing. We conserve our land by not doing fires near wooded areas. It is an amazing effort to help our wildlife have homes to live in as well.

Thanks Forest Service personnel. Without the long hours that you put in, me and my Family would not be able to enjoy the many spectacular Forests in the United States. A couple of years ago we had the great pleasure of vacationing in Tennessee and visiting the Great Smokey Mtnss Ntnl Park. We have never seen so many spectacular views in our lives.
