Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Forests are invaluable, beautiful, provide oxygen, shelter, jobs, water, nourishment & fuel. It's a resource living things depend on for survival. The preserving of these forests for our future generations is critical and typically a thankless job.

Because of this, I wholeheartedly thank you for all the hard work and dedication to this cause.

Must say that we are all thankful for all initiatives made by the NFF. Maintaining our eco-system is very important in today's world with the increase of carbon fuel emissions.

Every bit of the work you do helps us build a better tomorrow and I am thankful for that, always.

Growing up my father spent many of our childhood vacations driving us around the country to explore our amazing land and the National Parks that capture so much of the beauty. Now a father of three, my kids have visited almost every state and at least one National Park in each of the ones they have gone too -- from big to small.
