Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

We want to hear from you. Please take one minute to answer a few questions in our brief survey.

We invite you to share these messages of thanks from Verizon employees with your fellow wildland firefighters or any associations, clubs, groups, or teams who you believe would appreciate seeing them.

Daniel McCarthy,

Thanks for your service as Tribal Relations Program Manager on the San Bernardino National Forest. Your work with Cahuilla Elders to record how to harvest and prepare desert agave for food before that knowledge was lost forever is remarkable. I look forward to checking out the annual Agave Harvest and Roast!
