Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Trees convert carbon dioxide into oxygen and remove harmful pollutants from the air, acting as a natural air filter.

I hope this letter finds you well, and at a time that you need just a little encouragement! You have one of the most amazing yet challenging job which is protecting the trees in which in return your protecting oxygen! This is a letter from someone who appreciates the risk you take to ensure the comfort and safety of others.

I would like to thank all U.S. Forest Service personnel for their hard work, commitment and dedication to ensuring that our National Forests are well kept and cared for on a daily basis, rain or shine, 365 days a year.

Our planet truly is beautiful but it takes a lot to ensure that it remains that way and that our forests are protected. Thank you
