Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

I just wanted to drop a note to let you know how much you are appreciated, being a city kid from NY I enjoy nothing more then going out into the wilderness and just exploring nature. Nothing is more relaxing then watching animals in the woods and just enjoying nature and you guys are a great reason why we are still able to do that. So thanks

As summer approach's, I start to think about the forest fires I watch on TV and pray for the bravery of those working to maintain and prevent these. Ensuring our wildlife is cared for, land is respected, and we have beautiful forests to enjoy. You are such an amazing person to put one of Gods greatest gifts as a priority in your life.
