Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank you so much for all that you do for our national forests. Your efforts are daunting and never-ending. I know that you labor in the background and have to deal with government oversight. Just know that you are seen and appreciated.

My grandfather was a NY State Forest Ranger and I was fortunate to grow up spending time with him in the woods learning all about the wilderness and wildlife around us. I have grown to understand that this is a profession with long hours and time away from your family, but it is also so fulfilling and immensely important. Thank you for all you do!

Trees convert carbon dioxide into oxygen and remove harmful pollutants from the air, acting as a natural air filter.

I want to express my deepest gratitude for your dedicated team. Their hard work and passion not only preserve our forests but also inspire and uplift us all. Their efforts make a profound difference, and I am truly appreciative.

Dear US Forest Service team, I wanted to express my gratitude for your hard work protecting our national forests from wildfires. My favorite is out in nature with its breathtaking scenery and serene trails. As a dog mom, exploring its beauty with my dog has created cherished memories. Thank you for preserving this natural treasure.

Thank you for everything you do to protect nature, both animals and plant life. I truly believe saving and maintaining outdoor areas is one of the most important thing we can do as a people. It's so important to be able to disconnect from technology and our fast paced life sometimes and go spend time in the outdoors.

Having grown up in multiple states WI, NC, FL, and AR. There are such vast differences between the National parks and the forests that I have visited multiple times. I have also visited numerous National parks as an Eagle Scout, TN, AZ, TX, NV, and the Red Woods in CA. They are so dynamic and learning despite fire devastation yields new life.
