Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank you so much for all you do! These trees stand for decades, sometimes centuries, and we as humans have no issue with just chopping it down. I wish we could shift that thinking, and truly appreciate the nature that is around us. Thank you for fighting the fight, each and every day, to make our world a greener place!

Thank you so very much for all you do to preserve and enhance our US national forests. In a world full of stress, the outdoors is the best, natural remedy to create a sense of peace and calm. Our national forests, in particular, are a special treasure and I am thankful for them, and for the men and women who protect them.

Now that you work for the US Forest service, did you used to climb trees when you were young? I always liked getting up into the branches and 'hiding' - the stillness amongst the leaves was calming, but then getting back down...

Thank you for your time watching the trees! Hope you're having a good summer and the sunsets and sunrises are epic.

I like all trees, but it is really fun to say deciduous. However, I did just have to look up how to spell the word...regardless trees are the best.

Thanks for your time and dedication to our forests, it is appreciated.

Hope you're having a good summer and the sunsets and sunrises are epic.
