Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank you for the work you do in order to replace both our fish and wildlife habitats that have been impacted by fire, insects, and disease. My favorite trees are Maple (produces syrup) and Birch (Soda and other flavored items).

Here are some jokes to brighten your day! I appreciate what you do for our environment so I hope these jokes bring a smile to your face. I tried to catch some fog - But I mist! What kind of tree is often found in a kitchen? - A pan-tree. Why did the tree take a nap? For-rest! How did the tree get a new job? She had the right qua-leaf-ications.

Today, longleaf pine habitat exists on less than 5 percent of its historic range in the U.S. South. Planting longleaf pine on National Forests supports the expansion of this critical native species.

When I look at trees, I see God's majesty! Thanks so much for taking care of the forests. I would like to visit a national forest in the US one day. I actually visited a forest in Aruba while on vacation recently. The pride the workers showed in the landscape was wonderful. Keep up the good work!

To the U.S. Forest Service, I wanted to take a minute to express my gratitude for the amazing and impactful work that each of you partake in each and every day. When life gets too stressful and I need to take a step back, I always look to hiking as a way to escape and recuperate. Our parks have been a savior for my mental health.
Thank you!

U.S Forest Service Personnel,

Thank you for all you do. It takes special individuals to take action to save, not only people, but animals as well. Being in an area where wildfires are very common, I can't imagine the courage to go into the blaze while everyone else running away. May God continue to Bless You and your family. Well Done!
