Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Dear US Forest Service Hero, You are doing amazing work for our planet and for humanity. I'm sure at times, it can be hard. Please don't be disheartened. I've been to many national parks/forests, and there's absolutely nothing more inspiring than the sight and smell of thick forests, whether by the ocean or deep in the mountains.
Thank you! Dan

I am writing to express my gratitude and thanks to all that you do! The work that you are doing so profoundly impacts our future! I am a big advocate of preserving and protecting our woodlands and wetlands but it's a sad reality that we have to be planting more trees as we are engulfed in forest fires, developments/sprawls etc.

Thank you for your dedication to planting trees. I love to walk in the forest with my husband, and you are the reason we able to enjoy time in the forest. Every year we take a trip to one of the National Parks to hike. We've been to Glacier National Park, Yellowstone & Arcadia. Thank you for the long hours you put in. I appreciate you!

Thank you so much for the hard and valuable work you do in planting new trees to reforest. As a Californian I so appreciate your work - the wildfires have devastated large parts of our forest areas and it is wonderful to hear of the work you are doing. Thank you - especially for your work, especially in the great state of California!

Today, longleaf pine habitat exists on less than 5 percent of its historic range in the U.S. South. Planting longleaf pine on National Forests supports the expansion of this critical native species.

Hi! Thank you so much for all you do for our Forests. My favorite forest is either up in Red River, NM at Goose Lake or Sequoia National Forest in CA.

I caught my first Trout at Goose Lake back in the 80s and just being there is so very peaceful.

The majesty of the Sequoia trees is just amazing.

Be safe. And, again, thank you so much!

I would just like to thank you and your personnel for the major efforts they perform daily. I enjoy fishing and camping and am always appreciative of those who are the primary reason I am able to do both with joy. I have many friends with their own phobia's associated with visiting our forests, yet every time i get them out, they find peace.

To Whom It May Concern:

Please use this message as a way to convey my gratitude and thoughts on how important is it to maintain our forests. I love hiking in Colorado and Utah and am always in awe of how peaceful and beautiful the trails are with some of the tree cover that have been there for decades. I hope that this contributes for years!
