Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank you so much for all you do to preserve our beautiful forests. Because of your efforts I know my children and children's children will have access to trees around the world. Trees bring us so many things: shade in the summer, oxygen, place to rest, and beautiful scenery to behold.

Thank you so much for all of the work that you do planting trees and helping to restore forest areas destroyed by fires. This goes such a long way to help and improve our environment. It is so impressive and very appreciated that some of the planters can plant 1,000 trees in a single day.
