Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

I'm fortunate enough to not live anywhere near where forest fires or for that matter where there is a forest near me. You have to have a special character to do what you folks do. Devoting your time and efforts is a special thing and I personally appreciate the work that you folks do. We have a lot of beautiful places in the country. Thank you.

Thank you so much for your tireless dedication to keeping up our National Forests. I believe in "nature therapy" and spend as much time as I can walking through the forest in order to manage a stressful life. These forests are so valuable to people and to the world for a very long list of reasons. Your work is so appreciated!

I live near the Wildlife refuge. They can not build any houses on that land. I respect the wildlife and love that when I take a walk, I can hear the birds, see the trees, deer and turkey. Thanks to you, we will be planting more trees!
