Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank you so much for all that you do to protect our forests, educate our citizens, and support healthy ecosystems. I didn't visit many forests or outdoors educational facilities as a kid, but started doing so when I had my own children and now often take my kids hiking and camping, and it is awesome to have such great parks to show & explore!

Thank you for upkeeping our forests and helping support ecosystems in so many ways. I've had the pleasure of walking through local parks and forests with my young sons who always love to see the rivers and animals such as deer. Without your support I wouldn't have those experiences.

Trees hold and purify water and stabilize soils, helping creeks and rivers run clear for the thousands of communities who depend on National Forests for clean water.

Thank you so much for your heroic efforts when wild fires break out. We, here in NJ, have been very impacted by the Canadian wildfires last year with thick smog taking over our state. May you be safe and blessed.

Just want to send a big Thank You to our National Forest Service's incredible work to maintain our beautiful forests. Unfortunately I do not live near a forest, but have to admit that I do appreciate them (maybe even more) when I get away from the city-life to enjoy nature. Thank you for your tireless efforts to keep them clean and safe!

I've had the opportunity to live in New Jersey and most recently Georgia . Both states have a beautiful forestry presence. Truly appreciate the beauty and calmness for my mental health. I've visited great trails in both states and recently had the pleasure of visiting the MLK National State Park and Stone Mountain. Thank you for your service.
