NFF hero image

Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank you to everyone who comprises the US Forest Service Team! Every difference makes a difference! Clean air, clean water sound like simple needs, but SO MUCH goes into providing and preserving those truly valuable resources. Continue to be relentless in your efforts!

You're so very appreciated for dedicating your professional career to protecting America’s National Forests. As I think about the forests and the potential dangers of your job, from the terrain, the animals, to the weather, you are so very necessary. I'm not sure what we would do without people like you to help protect us. You are the real hero!

Thank-you Forest Service! Specifically, thanks to the folks who protect and maintain our forests during the scorching fire season. Cutting lines, repelling into spot fires, carrying 5G H2O cans up impossibly steep hills in the heat-- just wow! Thank-you! Please be safe this summer, your efforts are appreciated.
