Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank you for helping protect the forests. They are places for peace and relaxation where we can immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature. Without you there to protect it, we would not be able to enjoy the beauty. It is esspecially special because its one of the few places were we can disconnect from the city life and technology!

Hello everyone,

Thank you for your hard work! Our trees are really important. I haven't been to a National Forest, but I did visit the Griffith Observatory in California and it was great. There were lots of trees and it was in the mountains. Thank you for keeping our forests safe. You guys are awesome!

Trees convert carbon dioxide into oxygen and remove harmful pollutants from the air, acting as a natural air filter.

I wish many continued success with preservation! I appreciate all the work that is done to protect our earth. You all serve a duty to us!
