Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

I thank you for what you have done to protect where I live from fires and preserving the area for our woodland friends, as well as the younger and older generations who go camping. Preserving our National Forests allows us to continue to enjoy the outdoors that Mother Nature has prepared for us.

Thank you so much for your service! My family loves the National Parks and even have some framed pictures in our home representing the ones we love the most. We find it so wonderful to go to each park and see the wildlife and scenery so beautifully taken care of and I know that is because of you and the great job you do day in and day out.

Thank you for working so hard and diligently to protect our U.S. forests everyday. My father lives in South Lake Tahoe, CA and I enjoy visiting him often. There are so many beautiful trees there and without your team's efforts people like myself would not be able to visit and enjoy the beautiful nature. I appreciate you!

The work that the men and women do of this group is beyond words. It's a level of self sacrifice that most do not know. Between spending time in look out towers to fighting fires, there is not limitation of promoting service before self. Thank you for all you do. The beauty of the nation is forever in your hands.

I want to thank you for the job you do keeping nature available for Americans to appreciate. A special shout-out to those of you in Arizona - my family loves our visits to Williams, Flagstaff and Prescott, where we head to get away from Phoenix for a while. Going to plan another trip this fall! Thanks again.
