Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

My family is very appreciative and thankful for all the efforts and work the U.S. Forest Service does everyday to protect our forests. I love going to a forest and exploring all the tall trees and nature and would not be able to do that without your team's hard work. You are appreciated!!

Hello,

While working at Verizon, I've learned a lot about how private land, like National Forests/Preserves, affects cell phone service. It's interesting to think about the different places our customers are in and how we make sure they get good service. Nature is really beautiful and it's nice to enjoy the views.

I will never forget the first time I saw the Sequoia trees. They were breathtakingly unbelievable. And that could not have happened without the dedication of people like you. You represent the best of what this nation can be. Keep up the great work.

The Forest Service is close to my heart because my dad spent his whole working career in the Forest Service. He started as fighting wildfires and worked way up to the one of the top offices. He was able to fight wildfires in Mt. Saint Helens , and was the district ranger in several placed in Montana and New Mexico.
