Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

We want to hear from you. Please take one minute to answer a few questions in our brief survey.

We invite you to share these messages of thanks from Verizon employees with your fellow wildland firefighters or any associations, clubs, groups, or teams who you believe would appreciate seeing them.

All you contribute and everything you have created and planned to happen are so appreciated. We all take nature as something that naturally happens, but it's people like you that truly protect it and make sure generations to come will have something to look forward to and appreciate. Thank you again.

National Forests cover 193 million acres of the United States – that’s the size of Texas!

You honestly don't know how much you mean to us. Your diligence and excellence to maintain our forests gives not only us a great home but also our plants and animals. May God continue to watch over and protect you and your families and may He give you the strength to continue to take care of our forests, well. Thank you, Charonda

Forests are green gold which is free. Save a tree, save a life. Sow seeds of trees rather than enmity. We don't need the conversion of forest lands; rather, we need conservation.

Thank you so much for protecting and preserving our various National Forests! They are absolutely beautiful and they wouldn't be without you. I've been to the El Yunque in Puerto Rico a few years ago and it was breathtaking. I hope to take my daughters one day (once they are a little older).
