Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

We want to hear from you. Please take one minute to answer a few questions in our brief survey.

We invite you to share these messages of thanks from Verizon employees with your fellow wildland firefighters or any associations, clubs, groups, or teams who you believe would appreciate seeing them.

One of my favorite things to do when vacationing in a new area is go hiking and exploring in the forest with my family. Thank you for keeping our forests safe and well preserved so that people and animals alike can enjoy.

Thank you for preserving the forest and all of the natural beauty that is embodied within. I love to hear the wind bustling through the leaves of the tress, natural waters cascading over hills and rocks. Forests are so soothing. Waiting for the day to visit Sierra National Park to see the huge Sequoia trees. appreciate everything you do.

One thing I know USA excels in is Parks and Forests. As someone who lives in a neighborhood that used to be farmland, and a house that had no trees in its yard when I bought it, I have grown to appreciate trees via spending $200-300 for trees that maybe will provide shade in 5-10 years. So an extra thank you to you for taking care of trees!

A single tree planted on a National Forest can store a half ton of carbon dioxide over its lifetime, helping mitigate climate change.

Thank you so much for all you do. Thank you for keeping our forests safe. You are truly heroes of our time. Our children depend on clear air and you help provide it. One of my favorite areas is the Carson National Forest in northern New Mexico around the Enchanted Circle. By far one of my favorite drives into the Rockies. Keep it safe, keep it real, thanks for what you do.
