Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Years ago I was able to visit Yosemite for the first time with my wife. We were struck by how vast and unique this park is. Your teams work hard to maintain these areas, provide recreational opportunities and preserve the natural state. Keep up the great work protecting these special areas ensuring future generations can enjoy them.

My family and I want to visit Zion National Park. Coming from Florida, the landscape is very monotonous and flat, so seeing hills, valleys, red rock formations and canyons would be amazing.
