Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

We want to hear from you. Please take one minute to answer a few questions in our brief survey.

We invite you to share these messages of thanks from Verizon employees with your fellow wildland firefighters or any associations, clubs, groups, or teams who you believe would appreciate seeing them.

I enjoy trees and I love watching my kids climb them. They also use trees to provide shade during the summer months and we often eat picnics under them. I also love watching the squirrels and birds go about their daily lives living in trees.

Bring more joy to the world, plant a tree.

Good Morning, As I watch the news, there are constant reminders of how sensitive our forests can be when it comes to fires. As I walked through a local trail this morning, I was reminded of the peacefulness that our forests house. It made me appreciate what we have. I wanted to say a quick thank you for all you do with the forests in the U.S.

Today, longleaf pine habitat exists on less than 5 percent of its historic range in the U.S. South. Planting longleaf pine on National Forests supports the expansion of this critical native species.

Your dedication to advocating for the conservation of these valuable landscapes is a testament to your passion and love for the natural world. Extending my appreciation for your hard work and unwavering commitment to the preservation of America's national forests. Your efforts do not go unnoticed and your impact will be felt for years to come.
