Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

I took a walk through our local park along the river today & it's still intact habitat for the turtles, birds, ducks; & those are just the ones today. It is breathtaking and spiritually uplifting to experience these parks and forests that you protect. As we get older we learn to appreciate the beauty of nature and it's preservation. Thank you!

Thank you to the U.S. Forest Service personnel! The effort that you make to defend against deforestation is not only honorable but also logical. Destruction of nature means the destruction of us as a whole, so I see you all as protectors.
