Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank you for all your efforts around planting trees and keeping America Beautiful. Trees are an amazing part of our landscape and some of my favorite memories have to do with trees! I loved to climb them, hang a hammock or simply enjoy the shade they provide.

Thank you US Forest Service for all you do! I went to Pisgah National Forest a weeks ago and it was so beautiful. I went swimming in the Looking Glass falls and had a time. I plan to visit Yosemite in the near future. Thanks for protecting our beautiful land.
