Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

7 out of 10 Americans live within a 2-hour drive of a National Forest.

Thank you for your efforts to protect our Forests. Such a great thing. Most of us take for granted the work that it takes to keep these parks and forests beautiful. Keep up the great work!

The NFF is critical to protecting out beautiful US Forests, thank you for all your hard work ensuring the USA stays naturally beautiful. Living in Dallas TX, it is obvious how much has been destroyed to make way for corporate and local government greed, thus we must do everything we can to preserve what we have left. Thank you for your hard work.

I have always loved nature. Some of my most fond memories are those of going into the Mountains of North Georgia and discovering nature. I have always wanted to do something with the outdoors, and life has taken me away from that. I admire your commitment to this earth. Thank you for being a voice to that which has no voice. With all my heart.
