Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank you for keeping our forest safe. Without the beauty of nature to help keep me balanced, grateful, awe-ful, inspired, serene, my life would be less. As would my family's and so many people's. Thank you for keeping natural habitats available for wildlife and plant life too!

Forests provide so much to us and to our planet. I'm grateful for those who have passions that lead them to pursue endeavors associated with those passions. What you do goes above and beyond and I am eternally grateful. I recently visited Rocky Mountain National Park and pictures will never do nature's beauty justice. Thank you for your service

I work for Verizon, and we spent time today reviewing the Forestry Dept. It is absolutely amazing everything you do. The planting, using, conserving, and repairing forests, as well as the management of growing timber is such an integral part of life, I truly appreciate the work you complete. You are valued, appreciated and an asset. THANK YOU!

Hi, My name is James and I work at Verizon. During a team event I learned about the National Forest Foundation and the great work that firefighters do every day to protect our forests. I live in Kansas, which is not known for their forests, but I do travel a lot and enjoy hiking and skiing. I just wanted to thank you for your service. Thanks!

Thank you so much for doing a critical job that many people don't realize the importance of. We only hear about wildfires when things go bad, but the amount of work you do to prevent even more is unbelievable. You are literally keeping our forests and lands safe and free for not only us, but future generations.

Thank you for your courage and willingness to sacrifice your life and your health for this Earth! Without our world, we would have nothing. We wouldn't exist. We wouldn't have the opportunity do experience the joy and beauty of sunlight on treetops or the magesty of a forest mountain. Thank you for truly making this world a better place.
