Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank you so much for preserving the forest. Here in New Mexico the forests are so important, I love to hike and camp with my dog Luna Bear in the forest and its our solace. Thank you for keeping the people from catching it on fire and keeping it preserved for us to still use. Thanks to all of the forest rangers!!!

Growing up in Colorado we regularly were able to enjoy the National parks maintained by the US Forrest Service. We appreciate all the hard work you do daily to maintain the forest, access roads , camp grounds and safety of visitors. We know much of your critical work goes unseen but we are still very thankful.

After performing my journey I came to the realization of how important the environment is to everyone. We need clean and fresh air to properly breathe and live our daily life. Pollution creates an awful environment not only for people, but animals as well. We as people need to make sure we don't pollute, and do our best to preserve nature (forest).
