Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

We want to hear from you. Please take one minute to answer a few questions in our brief survey.

We invite you to share these messages of thanks from Verizon employees with your fellow wildland firefighters or any associations, clubs, groups, or teams who you believe would appreciate seeing them.

I was raised 20mins from the eastern Sierras tree line.I found my affinity for the forest while camping. I'm not one for the beach, I'd much rather enjoy the shade, depth, and adventure that lies beyond the bend of a mountain trail. The smell of pines near a freshwater lake (like Tahoe!) or while floating a river (like the Yuba!)
