Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

The Tahoe National Forest is a world treasure. I have the fortune to live near the area and go there to find peace and serenity.

I appreciate all of the hard work it takes to keep it in natural state. With the millions of visitors who have now discovered it's beauty must make it a challenge.

Thank you for all of your efforts.

The longleaf pine ecosystem is one of the most biologically diverse in North America, with an understory that can hold up to 40 plant species per square yard.

Stand tall like a tree and blossom like the most beautiful flower that you have ever seen because that is who you are. A beacon of hope growing a healthy environment one flower and tree at a time.

It has been very rainy in NJ but I took the time to spend some time walking outside to look at the beautiful trees and how the leaves are starting to change. I appreciate the age of the trees in our neighborhood and what I am planning on adding a new tree by my house so one day it can be as big as the beautiful trees around us. Thank you so much!
