Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank for keeping our local parks clean and accessible. I go on daily walks with my daughter and its so peaceful and calming. It provides so much clarity and really helps us with our mental health.

Team,

Thank you for the vital work that you do! In my city, there is lots of greenspace and we have abundant pine trees, dogwoods and lush lawns to remind us of the gift of nature. There is an 8-mile bicycle and jogging path near the office where I take frequent walks and looks for deer and other animals, especially birds. Thanks again!

Thank you for all you do and please keep preserving the natural habitats you protect! Your efforts to keep our planet's natural resources and forestry at the forefront and for our future is beyond commendable. I would love to visit the rainforest in Puerto Rico since I just found out that is the only one registered with the U.S. Forest Service.

To US Forest Service,

When saying "forests", we often forget about the forests within the urban and community area, such as public gardens, urban parks, and trees along the roads. We appreciate your support and help to ensure their health and sustainability for the public enjoyments and benefits. Thank you.
