As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

We invite you to share these messages of thanks from Verizon employees with your fellow wildland firefighters or any associations, clubs, groups, or teams who you believe would appreciate seeing them.

What a beautiful drive from Artesia, New Mexico to Cloudcroft, New Mexico. My family and I drove through Lincoln National Forest and explored the campsites and took a 1 hour hike in with of the campsites. So beautiful and peaceful. Leaving Artesia which is a barren desert landscape and about an hour later, we start seeing beautiful pines.

I fully support keeping the green parts of our country green! I actually have a small forest which is adjacent to my property (city owned) and partly on my property.
