Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

We want to hear from you. Please take one minute to answer a few questions in our brief survey.

We invite you to share these messages of thanks from Verizon employees with your fellow wildland firefighters or any associations, clubs, groups, or teams who you believe would appreciate seeing them.

I hope that you realize how appreciated you are. I enjoy the outdoors quite often and am always amazed by how dedicated the individuals are that I come across. For me, the outdoors is a place to escape and recover :) , and I cannot tell you how important that is for soooo many people. Thanks for all you do !

Thanks for helping to ensure my family has a place to enjoy the great outdoors. My son has been a Scout for many years now, and we both volunteer on a regular basis to help support various outdoor projects in our area. We try to do our part but it really is folks like you that have dedicated their life/time that truly make a difference - Thanks !

Just wanted to say thank you for helping to ensure we all have the opportunity to enjoy outdoor activities. Whether it is planting a tree, maintaining trails, managing a campsite, wildlife preservation, providing training or the plethora of other required tasks, I hope that you realize how appreciated you are.
