Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank you for all that you do for the forest in the US. It is clear that without you our woodlands would not survive. Your efforts are appreciated in Wildfire Crisis Strategy, Urban and Community Forestry, Equity Action Plan and Tribal Action Plan. We only have one Earth and to conserve it is wonderful for our future.

Dear National Forester,

Thank you so much for saving our planet. As the Mom of 4 I tell my kids we need to protect ourselves and all living creatures and plants and oceans, etc. from all the harm that globalization and human existence causes. Some don't realize the harm! It is because of people like you our planet is a better place! Thank you!

Hello,

Before I started my career in telecom., I earned a BS in biology. I may have gone down a different path, I occasionally wonder "what if". Whether it's searching for stray hikers, keeping poachers in check or making sure campers are following the rules - your service is invaluable to keeping our environment as pristine as possible.

Hello, My father relocated to rural Utah in 1980 and since then I have spent a lot of time on US Forest Service land in and around his home. Many of my fondest memories are with family exploring the forests that I consider the "back yard". I want to personally thank the USFS personnel for the hard work they do.

Thank you for all you do to conserve and protect the two most important elements of life on our planet--water and air. In a world increasingly warming under technology and urbanization, I take inspiration that you are all out there protecting the forests that help combat carbon and the water supply essential for all living things on earth.

I am writing this message to thank you for all the work you do to conserve and protect the amazing national forests spanning the United States. I have had the wonderful opportunity to explore many of the national forests you protect--my favorite being the Superior National forest in my original home state of MN. Dear Forest Service Employees, Your work is not being taken in vain. Our wildlife (Air, land and water) have a better chance of survival and livable conditions. Our trees can still provide oxygen because of you. Your efforts keep our forest beautiful and we thank you!

The Wasatch-cache national forest is my all time favorite and is very special to me as I was born and raised in Utah. The work you do does not go unnoticed. Every day there are more and more threats to our ecosystems and wildlife. These forests are not only life giving but a beauty to behold. Thank you for everything you do to protect our forests.

thanks you for you service in preserving one of America's best asset. The Forest Service and Park Service really help for any time I get to spend in those areas to decompress and make my usual m-f life more bearable.

Thank you so much for your hard work and dedication to keeping our forests safe and well maintained. I just took a round trip and I know I could not have enjoyed it more had it not been for the forests being kept up and the hiking trails being kept clean and riverscapes being so clean.
