Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

We want to hear from you. Please take one minute to answer a few questions in our brief survey.

We invite you to share these messages of thanks from Verizon employees with your fellow wildland firefighters or any associations, clubs, groups, or teams who you believe would appreciate seeing them.

The longleaf pine ecosystem is one of the most biologically diverse in North America, with an understory that can hold up to 40 plant species per square yard.

Hi,

So I Pokémon a lot, everyday. Yes and love it, I also love nature and respect it. Sad to say, I know other fellow Pokémon players my not. Therefore, I just wanted to say, thank you for stepping in and making sure they do.

I know your job is not easy and you receive no where near enough praise for it.

Thank you and keep doing what you do!

Hey,

I used to hear Smoky the Bear say " Only you can prevent forest fires!". The truth is, you are the ones that do all the time. Your hard efforts keep those that get careless in line. I know we do not hear about the time when you prevented us from losing a park or forest, due to others lack of care.

So, I thank you for caring when other don't!
