Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank you so much for protecting our nation's forests. I loved the Redwoods and Sequoias of California's forests and hope to save as much of them as possible. Good luck and best wishes during these difficult fire seasons.

Thank you for all that you do in helping maintain forests. I am deeply concerned about global warming, and a large population's perception of carbon emissions and global warming. I enjoy nature and spend time in parks on a weekly basis and hope my children can enjoy them the same way I do. Our future depends on trees and lowering emissions!

One of my fondest memories growing up was walking the area woods with my Dad. We had beagles and they needed to run! We would take them out and let them run throughout the trees, while my dad and I waited to see what wildlife the dogs would chase by, usually a hare! Thanks for keeping us safe and preserving our forests for future nature walks!

Thank you for tending to the land so humans and animals can benefit. Your dedication and hard work is honorable. I found it interesting to learn that there have been generations of families involved with this effort.
