Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

I would like to thank all of the US Forest Service personnel for your efforts and dedication to keeping our wooded areas active and pristine. We seem to be losing an increasing amount of land in this country to apartments and big box stores, so your efforts to preserve what forested areas we have left is greatly appreciated.

Team,

Thank you for the vital work that you do! In my city, there is lots of greenspace and we have abundant pine trees, dogwoods and lush lawns to remind us of the gift of nature. There is an 8-mile bicycle and jogging path near the office where I take frequent walks and looks for deer and other animals, especially birds. Thanks again!
