Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank you!

Having a 10 year old, it's important that I help him create his sense of adventure. One way that we have done that is through hiking and exploring nature. We had the opporutnity to visit Wayne National Forest last summer and it was such a great experience!

We appreciate all that you do to take care of our earth so that we can enjoy it.

National Forests cover 193 million acres of the United States – that’s the size of Texas!

Thanks for all the service you do. I recently went on a Safari to South Africa and have so much appreciation for the animals and the nature. Of course the trees play major role as they give food for the animals and a place to rest in the shadow on a sunny day.

Thank you!

We appriciate all you do for our forests. I do enjoy visiting our forests to get away from it all and beauty helps as well. As a teen and young adult, Yosemite was always a go to for friends and family. Now in New Mexico I visit many historical sites with in our national forest. Once again, thank you for what you do.

Trees convert carbon dioxide into oxygen and remove harmful pollutants from the air, acting as a natural air filter.

We know that this is not easy, but realize that your efforts are very challenging. Your hard work enables us all to enjoy nature and we truly appreciate it!
