Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

Thank you for your commitment to such a noble cause. My dad's profession aligns to yours, so I feel a deep appreciation and admiration for your day to day tasks. Many people take for granted in this modern society the resources from nature, but it takes a lot to preserve it.

Trees convert carbon dioxide into oxygen and remove harmful pollutants from the air, acting as a natural air filter.

Thank you for your dedication and hard work in preserving our national forests. Your efforts to protect our natural resources, ensure public safety, and teach others about the importance of environmental conservation are truly commendable. I express my sincere gratitude for your commitment to keeping our environment healthy and sustainable.

Where I live, we don't have many forests, and sadly, most of our trees are being removed for apartments, car washes, etc. So please continue to do what you do to protect our forests across the country. I don't think people realize how important it is to have a "green" place for nature to exist. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You Rock!

Dear U.S. Forest Service Personnel - a sincere thank you to you for the work you do to restore wildlife habitats and plant trees in areas affected by fire and insects / disease. This morning before work I rode my bicycle for an hour, most of the course was through a heavily wooded park, so I truly appreciate the ability to enjoy the forest near me

Without trees, life wouldn't exist and I wish more people understood this. Keep doing what you do to protect what we have left, to plant replacement trees and to educate visitors as to what they can do.

Trees hold and purify water and stabilize soils, helping creeks and rivers run clear for the thousands of communities who depend on National Forests for clean water.

Thanks to each of you working in the forest. It is because of you we get to breathe clean air.

Thankyou for all your help in preserving forest. I know it takes alot of effort to treat and raise wildlife. I know that a lot of our forest has been cut down and we are pushing wild life. Thankyou for your contributions.

Hi, Humans evolved millions (?) of years back, lived sustainably and saved it for us to live. It is not fair that we are destroying it in the recent decades. My contribution in protecting the environment is, I have managed to compost all the food waste from my house thereby reducing waste from my home to land fill.
