Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

We invite you to share these messages of thanks from Verizon employees with your fellow wildland firefighters or any associations, clubs, groups, or teams who you believe would appreciate seeing them.

I sincerely want to thank you for the work you do protecting our forests. I know that climate change has increased the number or forest fires making this job, I am sure, more difficult. From housing our planet's biodiversity to carbon capture and much more the importance of our forests and the work you do cannot be overstated.

Thank you for your devotion to preserving the Forest. There needs to be more reminders of how important the Forest is to everyone. The dependency and importance is often forgotten. Thank you.

Good Day - Just want to drop a note to thank you for your hours of sacrifice to care for and protect our National Forests. I've only been to a couple, but the depth, breadth and beauty of them has been massive. It is true that at times I have taken the national forests for granted. Thank you for all you do

Thank you so much for taking care of our forests and wildlife, and for those of you who do deal with it, for dealing with the wildfires as well. It's so important to have protected, cared for natural places in the world so we don't lose all of the wonderful plants and creatures that find homes in those areas. I appreciate all you do.
