Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

I live in Brooklyn. It's noisy, dirty, and brick-and-concrete hard. If it wasn't for Prospect Park and its glorious nature, I would be miserable. Having access to nature is not just a nice to have, it's a human necessity. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for all you give of yourself so we can experience Mother Earth as she was meant to.

The longleaf pine ecosystem is one of the most biologically diverse in North America, with an understory that can hold up to 40 plant species per square yard.

Thank You for all that you do ! I appreciate the water that we get primarily from your services and I hope President Trump gets back into office and donates his paycheck back to This wonderful Forest Service and you can plant many more trees and bring back Smokey The Bear commercials...
