Thank you
U.S. Forest Service

As part of its responsible business plan, Citizen Verizon, Verizon partnered with the National Forest Foundation to thank individuals who have dedicated their professional careers to protecting America’s National Forests—the U.S. Forest Service personnel.

As the effects of climate change exacerbate wildfires and the impacts of COVID-19 spur an unprecedented increase in visitations, Forest Service staff continue to selflessly work and often put their lives in danger to ensure these public lands thrive now and for many generations to come.

In addition to sharing messages of support, encouragement, and thanks from Verizon’s employees, Verizon’s generous grant will plant 100,000 trees on National Forest lands. These native trees will help provide fresh air, clean water, and remove carbon from the environment.

I just wanted to drop a line and say thank you. I often travel to visit family in Tennessee and travel through several national parks to get there. I could take a major highway, but it is much more peaceful and serene to travel through the beautiful backroads of the national parks. I appreciate the care you put into keeping it beautiful.

Thank you for planting these trees. The animals need the habitat. It breaks my heart to see the woods clear cut, knowing all of those animals are now displaced. I appreciate your service.

Thank you for all your hard work. I think we get so caught up in having everything so easily accessible to us nowadays, we tend to forget the hard work and care it takes for these essential items that come from our forests to be so available to us.

I like to express my thanks to people like yourselves for thinking about the earth and the environment. Ever since human advancement we have been destroying the planet we live on, harming plants, animal ecosystems and especially ourselves. You guys are spreading the message on what we need to know and do in order to save our delicate planet.

I am an avid hiker and love the outdoors. I have such an appreciation for the upkeep that is done to all of the state parks but my truest love is visiting waterfalls. The work and upkeep of these places is such important work. I have been bringing my kids to different places sense they were old enough to walk.

Ever since I was a child and visited Yellowstone National Park I have always loved and appreciated the parks that have been maintained by the U.S Forest Service. Now that I am older I am able to instill that same experience in my children as well. Thank you for all you do for the public and generations to come !
